Wake Up Leave The Liar novel Chapter 51

Chapter 28

Andy called Tanya after leaving Eternal.

‘Ashley joined Eternal?

“Yes.” Andy found it strange. Didn’t you know that?” Wasn’t Ashley the reason she didn’t get hired?

“No.” She thought Tim didn’t hire her to get revenge for Ashley. Had Ashley left Sterling Corp?

Andy asked, “What were the personal reasons?”

I can’t tell you.”

“But…

“What?”

He’d misunderstood; Tanya wouldn’t care about his resignation.

Is Ashley great? I heard she doesn’t have a PhD…”

“She only has a bachelor’s degree.”

Really?”

“Yes.” Tanya’s tone was cold. She hadn’t expected Ashley to leave Sterling Corp, and even less that she’d joined another company instead of pursuing further education. She lacked vision.

And kept asking, “What are your plans, Tanya?”

I have a race soon and need to practice. I’ll think about work later.”

“Oh, okay…” Andy knew Tanya excelled in many areas. He wondered if she could handle everything well. But he knew she was different.

Meanwhile, at Sterling Corp, Chase was reading files.”Get me a coffee.”

Yes.”

This was Sherry’s first time making coffee for Chase. She was excited and nervous. She carefully followed Ashley’s instructions. Chase put down his files, stirred the coffee, and brought the cup to his lips. Then, he paused. The smell was off. He took a sip and put it down.”Make another one.”

Sherry was surprised. “Another one? Too much sugar? But I followed Ashley’s instructions…”

“I don’t know.” Justin said.

She made another cup of coffee. This time, Chase didn’t taste it; he just smelled it and put it down. He asked, “What’s going on?”

“Sherry might be too nervous…”

Chase frowned.”Sherry? Where’s Ashley?”

Justin was a bit surprised. Ashley quit. You… didn’t know?”

Chase didn’t speak, He didn’t know. He knew Justin wanted to fire her because of her work attitude. But…

“When did she leave?”

“Last Thursday.”

“Okay. She’d left, but she might return.

Justin continued, The coffee…”

Take it away. Get me some warm water.”

At noon, Tim went to a business lunch. Ashley ate in the company cafeteria. Her colleagues were polite but not friendly. She didn’t mind. At 5 pm, she

went to Charlie. I’m done. Check it out.”

“What?” Charlie was stunned, then incredulous. “You… finished it all?” That was over ten days’ work for Andy! She understood and finished it all in less

than a day?

Ashley answered, “Yes.”

Charlie was speechless. Her work was not only excellent, but it also provided new ideas for his work! The other colleagues came over; they were all

shocked.

Charlie looked at her incredulously. “Are you really a graduate student?”

Ashley denied. “No, I only have a bachelor’s degree.”

And she just outshone so many PhDs and graduate students?
