Wake Up Leave The Liar novel Chapter 79

Chapter 56

Tanya approached and spoke to Tim with a smile.”Mr. Reed, what a coincidence. We meet again.”

Tim said dryly, “Yes, it is.”

Tve been meaning to buy you a dinner, but I’ve been too busy to make the time.”

“Miss Mond, I know how busy you are,” Tim said. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have not come to work for his company a month after they first met.

Mark also wanted to connect with Tim. He was even happier to see that Chase had no reaction to Tanya ignoring Ashley and only saying hello to Tim. Yonnie followed suit. After greeting Tim, Mark called Ashley.

Ashley didn’t respond. Mark didn’t press it; he focused on Tim. Then, they returned to Chase’s group, entering the restaurant.

Tim felt a headache coming on. They ignored you completely.”

Ashley calmly said, “Hmm.”

Let’s go. Don’t keep the client waiting.”

“Okay.”

Ashley needed to work late that evening. But around 7 pm, Emily called, asking when she’d be home. She should go home, but she was reluctant to droj what she was doing. She thought for a while and said, “Sorry, Grandma, I need to work late.”

Emily sighed, “You’re both busy. When will I have another grandchild?”

Ashley said, “Sorry, Grandma…”

“It’s okay. But don’t forget to eat.”

“Okay.” Her takeout arrived.

Ashley worked until 10 pm. Her car was still at Chase’s, and her driver should have arrived. The driver was there, but it wasn’t her usual driver but

Chase’s.

Chase was in the backseat.

Seeing her confusion, Chase lowered the window.”Grandma asked me to pick you up.”

Ashley got in, sitting in her usual seat.

The car drove smoothly into traffic. Silence fell again. Chase was still working and his attention wasn’t on her.

Ashley remembered the villa thing and asked,”Did they agree?”

Tanya looked uneasy at lunch, so she guessed Tanya’d agreed. What about the others?

Chase, still looking at his phone, answered, “Yes.”

Then… Ashley hesitated, then asked firmly,”Can I buy that villa?” She wanted to prevent future problems.

Chase paused, glancing at her.”Sure.”

Ashley was relieved, “Thank you.”

Hmm.’

They arrived home, and Emily hadn’t gone to bed yet. Seeing Ashley arrive in Chase’s car finally put her mind at ease, and she went back to her room. Upstairs, Ashley called Steve to update him on the situation. Later, Tim called her.

Half an hour later, after ending the call with Tim, Ashley went to her bedroom. She found that Chase already showered. He was lounging in bed and reading a book.

He glanced at her as she entered, then returned to his reading. Ashley, in turn, averted her gaze and went to shower and do her skincare routine.

By the time she was finished, it was late.
