The more Tyler thought about it, the angrier he became. He strode toward the door, pausing only to give his bodyguards a curt order.
“Make sure she doesn’t leave this place.”
He didn’t want her running off and causing any more trouble.
Tyler stormed out, not even sure where he wanted to go. Eventually, his feet carried him to a bar, hoping to drown his frustration with a few drinks—and, as luck would have it, that’s where he ran into Maggie.
What was Maggie doing here in Greenfield?
Standing at her side was Abner. Abner kept his eyes fixed ahead, clearly intent on ignoring Tyler, but at the sight of him, Abner hesitated, slowing his steps.
Tyler, desperate for a distraction, pushed open the door to a private booth. “Care to join me for a drink?”
Abner didn’t hesitate; he walked right in. Maggie followed quickly, trying to maintain her air of haughty confidence, but she couldn’t quite disguise how much she feared Abner. With him around, she didn’t even dare raise her voice.
After all, it was Abner who’d ruthlessly purged the Olson family years ago, crushing dissent with an iron fist. There were rumors about his shady dealings behind closed doors, and most of those who had dared to cross him were long gone.
Maggie perched nervously on the edge of the couch, her hands pressed against her knees. When Abner finally spoke, his tone was casual but carried an underlying threat.
“So, how’s the wedding planning with Marlon coming along?”
Maggie’s hands clenched tightly in her lap. Just the mention of Marlon made her shiver.
Last time she’d gone to see him at the Kellers’ estate, she’d walked in on him punishing someone. Blood was splattered across the floor, but nobody in the room seemed to care. They’d clearly seen it all before.
Maggie had never been brave—she’d fainted right there on the spot. When she woke up, she’d been dumped at the Olson family’s front door like yesterday’s trash.
That bastard Marlon!

The readers' comments on the novel: Dear Ex-wife Marry Me novel (Maja)
Author, would you story about Ryan settling down and another story on Eric regaining his body and memories back from Patrick, and Eric also settling down as I find it so disheartening for him to have gone through what he went through at the research institute, and I'll like for him to get his "golden boy" life back though, not at the detriment of Ian....
When will the author update to finish Beck's story? What about Dylan and Tyler's love lives? Also, I'll like the author to write on Wilma and Elvis ending up together as she was quite persistent in pursuing him. And Shawn's story, Cornelia Sullivan and Omar Casson. Also, a little write-up on Jeff (Ian's assistant) love life, too. Thanks, author for updating....
When will get update?...
What is wrong that the author has not updated this novel in over a month or is there somewhere else that I can continue reading the novel from chapter 1951 upwards? Do tell, please. Thanks....
