“Grandma, let’s not rush this. I’ll look into everything thoroughly,” Marlon said, trying to reassure her.
But there was no way Grandma Edith could just sit back and wait. Her voice was insistent. “Back in high school, her parents and brother all died in that accident, and she was bullied for years. I already had someone investigate what happened—it really was a tragic accident with her family. As for what Maggie did to her, it was far worse than what we knew. There’s no need to look into that again. The tricky part is, she’s already married. And to Tyler, of all people. That scoundrel. I don’t believe for a second he’s changed his ways.”
Marlon gently took Grandma Edith’s hands, a reassuring smile tugging at his lips.
“Give me a week, Grandma. I’ll get to the bottom of all this. If she really is my sister, I won’t let anything happen to her.”
Grandma Edith nodded. “Your father looked into it too, and he came to the same conclusions. He’s only got three days off and had to go back to work, so I’m leaving this matter with you.”
Marlon nodded again and soon left the Keller estate.
He set his people to work, even reaching out to a few of Athena’s old high school classmates, hoping someone might remember when she got that birthmark. Could it have been faked, made to impersonate Ms. Keller?
But the location—high on the inner thigh—was so private that no one would have noticed.
That’s when Marlon thought of Tyler.
Tyler was married to Athena now; surely he’d noticed the birthmark if anyone had.
But the truth was, Tyler hadn’t really paid attention before. That morning, after they’d tangled themselves in the sheets, he finally saw the delicate flower-shaped mark and frowned, puzzled.
“When did you get a tattoo?” he asked.
Athena stretched her leg out a little. “It’s not a tattoo. I’ve always had it.”
“Really? I don’t remember seeing it before.”
“That’s because you never really paid attention to me. If it was one of your old flings, I bet you’d know every little freckle on their bodies.”
Tyler’s past was always a sore spot; he grew awkward, eager to change the subject.
“What do you want for breakfast?”
Athena turned away, pretending to be upset.
Tyler softened instantly, his tone gentle and almost pleading. “Alright, it’s my fault. I must’ve been blind not to notice you before. Forgive me, Athena. I really don’t want to fight with you anymore.”

The readers' comments on the novel: Dear Ex-wife Marry Me novel (Maja)
Author, would you story about Ryan settling down and another story on Eric regaining his body and memories back from Patrick, and Eric also settling down as I find it so disheartening for him to have gone through what he went through at the research institute, and I'll like for him to get his "golden boy" life back though, not at the detriment of Ian....
When will the author update to finish Beck's story? What about Dylan and Tyler's love lives? Also, I'll like the author to write on Wilma and Elvis ending up together as she was quite persistent in pursuing him. And Shawn's story, Cornelia Sullivan and Omar Casson. Also, a little write-up on Jeff (Ian's assistant) love life, too. Thanks, author for updating....
When will get update?...
