Once Marlon's injuries had healed a bit, Athena took him for a stroll on the beach, just like they did on their first day on the island. Marlon had always been in great shape, so he was recovering quickly. He held her hand tightly, and to any onlooker, they seemed like just another couple in love.
Being on this island, apart from the day he got hurt, Marlon felt like he and Athena were truly a couple. But the truth was something only he knew.
As they watched the sunset that evening, he suddenly spoke up. "Athena, when we get back, would you consider being with me?"
Athena looked puzzled, furrowing her brow. "Aren't we already together? Weren't you the one who said we're engaged?"
"Yes, but there are a few other issues that need sorting out. If you choose me, I'll handle all those problems," Marlon replied confidently.
That included dealing with Grandma Edith, even though his methods were often unconventional. As long as he could make all the dissenters disappear, just like he had in the past, it would be fine. Surely, Grandma Edith was used to his ways by now.
He smiled slightly and pulled her into a warm embrace. "As long as you want it, I can make it happen."
Athena lowered her lashes, her thoughts drifting not to Marlon, but to Lindsay. The incident where Lindsay had killed Maggie was all over the news. How was she faring now? Was Tyler helping her?
She even wondered if Tyler would mourn if she died. But she had long lost the will to live, and she didn't want to return to Greenfield. She was determined to find a way to stay on the island with Marlon, just like Kerwin had stayed by the sea all those years ago.
Meanwhile, back in Greenfield, Tyler had given up trying to contact Athena. He'd heard she was on the island with Marlon, and that island had his people, including the one Marlon had killed—a person Tyler had also arranged to be there.
Tyler had struck a deal with that individual: they would hand over evidence to the government, prompting an investigation into the Keller family. Tyler’s role was to incite others in their social circles to turn against the Kellers when the time came. It was a mutually beneficial arrangement.

The readers' comments on the novel: Dear Ex-wife Marry Me novel (Maja)
Author, would you story about Ryan settling down and another story on Eric regaining his body and memories back from Patrick, and Eric also settling down as I find it so disheartening for him to have gone through what he went through at the research institute, and I'll like for him to get his "golden boy" life back though, not at the detriment of Ian....
When will the author update to finish Beck's story? What about Dylan and Tyler's love lives? Also, I'll like the author to write on Wilma and Elvis ending up together as she was quite persistent in pursuing him. And Shawn's story, Cornelia Sullivan and Omar Casson. Also, a little write-up on Jeff (Ian's assistant) love life, too. Thanks, author for updating....
When will get update?...
