From His Wife to His Uncle's Wife novel Chapter 162

Olga leaned in close, her eyes wide with curiosity. As soon as she heard the plan, she nodded so hard her little ponytail bounced with each movement.

She clapped her hands, grinning from ear to ear. “That’s such a good idea! I love it!”

Jessie held out her pinky finger. “Let’s make a pinky promise. It’ll be our secret, just between us.”

Olga adored this, having a special secret with Aunt Jessie, something nobody else knew about.

...

Autumn was all about getting things done. This time, when she set out to find a wife for Peter, she didn’t bother with the rich or famous. Instead, she looked for someone from a family that valued books and learning.

Lynn Grimm fit Autumn’s idea of a perfect daughter-in-law. She was smart, gentle, and always polite. Her parents were both respected academics, and she was already teaching at a university herself. Autumn figured someone like Lynn would be easy to manage and would set a good example for Olga.

So, Autumn invited Lynn over for dinner, making sure Peter knew he couldn’t skip the meal.

When Olga got home from school, she noticed right away that there was a new lady in their living room.

She instantly remembered what Aunt Jessie had said the other day. Her heart sank. This must be the new mommy Grandma wanted for her.

Olga dropped her backpack by the door. “Grandma, I’m home!”

Autumn greeted her with a big smile. “Welcome back, Olga! Were you a good girl at preschool today?”

Olga let out a little hum. “I was very good, Grandma. Who’s this lady?”

Lynn gave a shy smile. She was immediately charmed by the sweet little girl in front of her.

“Hi, Olga. My name’s Lynn.”

Autumn slipped off to the kitchen to grab some snacks, leaving Olga and Lynn alone in the living room.

“Lynn, could you keep Olga company for a bit? I need to check on the soup,” Autumn said, already halfway out the door.

Lynn smiled warmly. “No problem, Autumn. Go ahead.”

She wasn’t worried about looking after a little kid. After all, her younger cousins always clung to her during family gatherings.

“Olga, I brought you the newest doll. Do you want to see it?” Lynn set a bright, shiny box down in front of Olga, smiling hopefully.

But before she could blink, Olga shoved the gift box right onto the floor.

“I don’t want your present! I don’t like you!”
