"Peter, Olga is still so little. She needs someone kind and understanding to care for her. I think the Grimm family's daughter would be a great fit. If you don't mind, maybe try spending some time with her."

Peter wanted to say so many things, but none of them made it past his lips.

"Mom, I'm not thinking about any of that right now. Please, don't get a good girl involved just because of me."

He felt nothing at all for Lynn.

Suddenly, a child's wail came from the garden.

"What happened to Olga?"

Autumn hurried outside. Lynn stood there, looking lost, while Olga lay on the ground with her mouth covered in blood.

Autumn's heart dropped. She couldn't help but snap, "Lynn, what happened here?"

Peter rushed out right after her. When he saw his daughter's bloody mouth, his heart nearly stopped.

He scooped Olga up and shot Lynn a cold look. "Mom, I'm taking Olga to the hospital. And Ms. Grimm, it's best if you leave."

He hurried toward the garage with Olga in his arms. Even though it hurt, Olga felt like it was worth it. That woman probably wouldn't be coming back now.

Lynn stood frozen, her eyes red. "Autumn, I didn't do anything. Olga wanted to swing, but before I could even push her, she just... fell off."

She didn't mention the part where Olga gave her a strange, sly smile right before falling on purpose. Lynn couldn't believe a kid would go that far just to get her in trouble. It left her completely stunned.

Autumn had just praised Lynn to Peter, and now things had gone terribly wrong. She could only sigh. "I'll have the driver take Ms. Grimm home."

It took just a second for "Lynn" to become "Ms. Grimm."

At the hospital, the doctor treated Olga's injury.

"I..."

"I'll handle my own life. It's late, Mom. You should get some rest."

Autumn watched Peter walk away. She opened her mouth but couldn't find any words.
