From His Wife to His Uncle's Wife novel Chapter 251

Olga felt so wronged she could barely stand it. After her father punished her, she decided to go on a hunger strike, hoping it would make him worry and give in. But Peter Clarkson wasn’t budging this time. He looked at her with that serious face and said, “Olga, refusing to eat won’t work. If you don’t fix those bad habits, I’m not going to let things slide anymore.”

Olga’s frustration boiled over. She smashed her little art pad on the floor and started crying so loud it echoed through the house. Autumn’s heart broke hearing her sobs. She rushed to the study, her voice anxious. “Peter, I know you’re upset, but she’s just a little kid. Why are you being so harsh with her?”

Peter didn’t back down. “Mom, if we ignore this, Olga’s just going to get more out of control.”

“I really regret…” he started to say, but stopped himself. Autumn already knew what he meant. Her expression darkened as she left his study. She couldn’t argue with her son any longer.

In the hallway, Jessie Goff stepped out from her quiet spot. “Mom, the cook has finished dinner. I’ll try to get Olga to eat.”

Autumn wasn’t thrilled with Jessie, but honestly, Jessie was the only one who could handle their stubborn little troublemaker.

Jessie walked to Olga’s room and knocked softly. “Olga, it’s Mommy. Will you open the door for me?”

The door creaked open. Olga’s face was blotchy and streaked with tears. “Mommie Jessie, Daddy’s being so unfair!” she cried, throwing herself into Jessie’s arms.

Snot and tears instantly smeared all over Jessie’s expensive dress. She stiffened, visibly annoyed, but forced herself to hold back. She didn’t push Olga away, even though she wanted to.

“Olga, your daddy’s just really upset right now. Why don’t you go say sorry? It might help,” Jessie said gently.

“Mommie Jessie, are you mad at me too?” Olga whimpered.
