From His Wife to His Uncle's Wife novel Chapter 307

Yolanda waited at the entrance, fidgeting in her bridesmaid dress. “They’re still not here. What are we supposed to do? Guests are going to start arriving at ten.”

“Relax,” Linden said, trying to calm her down. “Max just texted. He said they’ll make it on time.”

Suddenly, the sound of helicopter blades swept over their heads. A red and blue helicopter touched down smoothly on the lawn behind them. The door swung open and a man jumped out with effortless confidence. Eleanor followed, her hand tucked safely in Max’s.

Max glanced at his watch. “Ten o’clock. Right on schedule. Come on, my bride, let’s get you ready.”

“Eleanor!” Yolanda grabbed her dress and hurried over. “Are you guys alright?”

Eleanor spun around, her arms wide. “Not a scratch on us!”

Yolanda let out an exaggerated sigh. “You scared me half to death! Come on, I’ll take you backstage to get your makeup done.”

Linden strolled over to Max, grinning. “Really had to make an entrance, huh? Was that necessary?”

Max smirked. “It did the job. Want to try it for your wedding?”

Linden scratched his nose, looking sheepish. “I think I’ll pass on that. My heart couldn’t handle it.”

Inside, a team of stylists and makeup artists waited for Eleanor. The makeup artist couldn’t help but gush. “Mrs. Clarkson, your skin is flawless. Doing your makeup is a dream.”

No concealer needed, no patching or covering up. Just a light layer of foundation and she was picture perfect. The artist almost felt unnecessary. With skin like this, anyone could do a good job.

Once her hair and makeup were done, Eleanor barely paused before heading to the dressing room to change. She slipped on her reception gown, the ivory satin hugging her curves and glowing under the lights. The off-shoulder neckline showed off her delicate collarbones, the waist was drawn tight, and the skirt bloomed into a cascade of tulle, dotted with tiny sparkling diamonds.
