From His Wife to His Uncle's Wife novel Chapter 311

Eleanor couldn't believe Max actually managed to say those three scorching words out loud.

His warm breath brushed the sensitive skin behind her ear, leaving a trail of pink in its wake. Max’s face was so close, his lips—soft and tempting—kept brushing over her earlobe, slow and teasing.

Her cheeks burned and her voice quivered. “That tickles…”

A low, rough laugh rumbled from his chest.

His lips didn’t stop. They traveled along her cheek, then finally pressed against hers, gentle and hungry. It was like an electric shock ran straight down Eleanor’s spine.

She tried to lean away, but his arms stayed wrapped tight around her waist, holding her close.

There was nowhere to go.

No way out.

“Wait, I haven’t even showered…” Eleanor’s breath was shaky as she tried to push him back, but he barely moved.

“Mmm,” Max whispered, voice husky and close. “Let me help you then.”

Before she could think, he swept her up. Her feet left the ground, and she let out a tiny gasp. But whatever she meant to say was lost as his kisses claimed her mouth again and again.

Worried she might fall, her legs wrapped around his lean waist on their own. When her back hit the cold shower tiles, she shivered.

The water came on, hot and fast, steam curling around them and fogging up the glass. Eleanor tipped her head back, her face flushed and shy, her body burning all over.

After that, everything blurred together. She couldn’t remember how they left the bathroom, or how she ended up in tears, barely awake.

Max’s hands cradled her waist. He kissed the tear tracks from her cheeks, voice gentle. “Baby, it’s still early.”

“I’m really hungry…” she managed to mumble.

He smirked. “I’m not satisfied yet.”

Eleanor startled awake, her lower back aching and sore. Her throat was dry. “What time is it?”

Max propped himself up, watching her. “Eight o’clock.”

Eight o’clock?

She glanced at the window. It was pitch black outside. Only a few hours had passed, she thought.

“Then I’m going back to sleep.”
