From His Wife to His Uncle's Wife novel Chapter 315

Someone piped up, “Eleanor, how come you never posted any wedding photos? Do you have any in your phone? Let us see!”

Eleanor felt a little awkward. “The photos are all on my husband’s phone. His niece took it that day and snapped a ton of pictures. I don’t actually have them yet.”

She quickly scrolled through and found a few pictures from their honeymoon ski trip, finally putting her coworkers’ curiosity to rest.

That little round of questioning left Eleanor more drained than a full day at work.

Just as she was about to change and head into the lab, Billy called her over to his office.

“Eleanor, sit down. Congratulations on your wedding.”

“Thank you, Billy.”

He handed her a thick stack of documents. “This is a confidential project our company plans to launch next month. Since you’re available, I’d like to put you in charge.”

“Me?” Eleanor blinked, surprised.

She flipped through a few pages. It was definitely a major project if it was this hush-hush.

“The main research is basically done, but there’s still a lot to polish up. It’s a huge workload and it needs to be handled by just one person, for confidentiality. You’ll also have to sign an extra NDA,” Billy said, lifting his brows. “Are you interested?”

Eleanor hesitated. “Billy, can I ask you something?”

“Of course,” he replied.

She thought for a moment, then asked, “Why did you pick me for this?”

Billy grinned. “What’s wrong? Not confident in yourself?”

“I’ve seen your resume. You have the skills and experience to work independently, and your credentials are solid. The key data is already finished, but we need someone trustworthy to do the final organization. Since you’re the newest hire, you don’t have ties to any internal groups. All things considered, you’re the best fit.”

Billy wasn’t about to admit he’d seen the video of her wedding with Mr. Clarkson.

He never expected one of his own team to be so well-connected.
