Otto stared at the DNA report, his hands trembling. He’d watched his wife give birth to his oldest and youngest sons. He was there, right in the delivery room. How could this be possible?

He remembered he wasn’t around when Jessie was born. That business trip had kept him away, but he never once doubted his wife’s loyalty. Not for a second.

There was a voice recording included in the package. He pressed play. Juliana’s voice came through, raw and honest, pouring out secrets Otto wasn’t ready to hear. He felt like his mind just stopped working.

Kennedy was right next to him, looking just as shocked. “Dad, what is this recording...?”

“No way,” Otto muttered, shaking his head. He couldn’t accept that the daughter he’d loved so much might not be his, or that the girl they’d all treated like an outsider was actually his real child.

He rushed upstairs, grabbed something with Jessie’s DNA, and left with Kennedy. They went straight to the clinic and paid for a rush job. Two hours later, they had the results. Otto compared them to the ones from the mysterious package. He couldn’t deny it anymore. At least half of what he’d heard in that recording had to be true.

Kennedy’s face was pale. “Dad, so... is Eleanor really my sister?”

Otto just stared at him, lost. “I don’t know, Kennedy. I really don’t.”

They went home, both of them numb. Adam spotted them coming in together and frowned. “Where were you two? Why did you come back together?”

Neither answered. Their silence just made Adam more curious.

He saw the package on the table, picked it up, and pulled out the documents. His expression changed, confusion turning quickly to worry. “Wait, this isn’t about us, is it?”

He looked at them, panic growing. “Dad? Kennedy? Say something.”

Kennedy let out a long, shaky breath. “Jessie isn’t our biological sister. The nanny switched her own baby with ours. Eleanor is our real sister.”
